Bilateral MOUs
ESCA is keen to enter into mutual cooperation agreements with peer federal regulatory institutions of other countries looking at the increased interest and participation of foreign investors in the UAE securities and commodities markets. In view of this, ESCA initiated contacts with other regulatory institutions and till date, it has entered into Bilateral Memoranda of Understanding with the regulators of the following countries:

Apart from the signing of the Memoranda with the regulators of these countries, ESCA has also established a relationship of mutual cooperation and assistance with Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the regulator of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) which is a geographically demarcated international financial centre located within Dubai, UAE and providing investment opportunities to foreign institutional investors.
ESCA regulates the commodities futures exchange in Dubai, the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) as an SRO under a Memorandum of Agreement.
Moreover, ESCA has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Institute of Corporate Governance (Hawkamah) in Dubai to cooperate in order to enhance the standards of Corporate Governance in the region.
ESCA has a Confidentiality Agreement with the Chicago Futures and Trade Commission (CFTC), the commodities markets regulator in USA for the purposes of sharing information for regulatory purposes.
Recently, ESCA has been admitted as an associate member of the Islamic Financial Services Board of Malaysia (www.ifsb.org)
