The Emirates Securities and commodities Authority (SCA) will hold from August 16 to 30 a Ramadan football tournament at the White Dome Football Park here in Abu Dhabi. The tournament is being held under the auspices of H.E. Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al-Mansoori, Minister of Economy and SCA Board Chairman, and in line with the directives of H.E. Abdullah Al-Turifi, SCA Chief Executive.
Five teams will be locking horns for the ultimate prize at stake. They include a team each from the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange (ADX), the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), the General Secretariat of the Border Affairs Board and the SCA.
The seven-a-side tournament, which will be played in a league format with each of the contesting teams playing against each other, will see the team with the highest accumulated points being crowned champion.
There will be raffle draws of valuable prizes of various kinds at the end of each match, while the champion team, the goal-king and best player of the championship will each receive a special prize.
The championship, which is in its fourth edition, is part of the SCA's sports, social and recreational programs for its employees during the year.
