Financial markets in the country will close on Thursday for the holidays marking the new Hijri year of 1433 and the 40th anniversary of UAE national day, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has announced.
“Based on a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, concerning New Hijri Year of 1433 and the 40th anniversary of the UAE national day, and in coordination with the management of the financial markets in the country, it has been decided that all financial markets in the country shall close on Thursday, December 1 and reopen for trading activities on Sunday, December 4,” stated a circular issued by the SCA yesterday.
The SCA seized the opportunity of the happy occasion to extend its warmest greetings to the UAE President, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members, Rulers of the Emirates, praying to God for many returns of this happy occasion.
The SCA also extends similar greetings to the people of the United Arab Emirates.
