SCA launches new online services for public joint stock companies
The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has launched a number of new online services via its website: www.sca.gov.ae , including registration renewal service for public joint stock companies (PJSCs), approval for holding general assembly, application for “To Whom It May Concern” certificate and license renewal service for brokerage companies.
The new services, which take effect from early this year, is part of the SCA’s relentless efforts in providing the best services to its clients, according to the best international criteria, in order to achieve its strategic and operation plans regarding the simplifying of procedures by using advanced technology.
Commenting on the new development, H.E. Mohammed Khalifa Al-Hadari, Deputy CEO for Organizational and Support Service, said clients can access the services from anywhere inside and outside the UAE to complete the aforementioned transactions without the need to come to the SCA office. “This saves time and efforts,” he added.
He pointed out that about 29 PJSCs have so far renewed their license through the new online service. He said efforts are being made to enhance online services, adding that more of online services, including ePayment and electronic network link with a number of government bodies, will be launched shortly within the year to enhance the SCA’s organizational performance and to harmonize between SCA operational works and UAE government’s strategic directives.
In implementing its various online services for clients, the SCA, which has been awarded an ISO certificate in Information Security, adopted the best standards for advanced protection systems across the board by using modern technologies in information protection to ensure information security and confidentiality, while making information safely accessible online.
