H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), received the GCC Gov HR Awards 2019 for Organization of the Year for the Best Happiness Initiative, outranking 120 government and private organizations competing for the award from the GCC states. 

The award is given to GCC-based organizations that introduce leading initiatives and make extraordinary efforts to promote happiness in the workplace. SCA was selected among the winners for its policies that support employee happiness and for the programs and methodologies that are being implemented using innovation and creativity.  

After receiving the award, Dr. Al Zaabi said: “winning this award is the culmination of efforts to create a happy workplace, which results in improved performance and enhanced productivity and positively affects employees and their families”. 

“SCA has made the happiness of its employees a top priority and created a unit under its Human Resources Department to promote employee happiness and achieve the leadership’s vision. This unit has indeed proved its worth through its many initiatives that target not only employees, but their families as well,” he added.  

With deep gratitude and appreciation, Dr. Al Zaabi thanked employees of the Human Resources Department for their efforts that lay behind this remarkable achievement, calling for more achievements and success.
