SCA and SRTIP explore avenues for cooperation in areas of common interest

A delegation from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA)—chaired by H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, CEO of SCA, and including Khalid Ghaith Al Zaabi, Executive Director for Licensing, Supervision, and Compliance—visited the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTIP). The delegation was received by H.E. Hussain Mohamed Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTIP, and SRTIP officials.

SCA’s delegation listened to a presentation about SRTIP’s departments and development phases. It went on an introductory tour of SRTIP’s facilities and received an explanation from its officials about the nature of the work it carries out. The two sides explored avenues for cooperation in areas of common interest, especially with regard to financial technology (fintech) and the exchange of expertise on raising awareness in the securities, investment, and finance sectors. They also explored the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to provide a framework for this cooperation and lay its foundations.
