Service Description

According to Federal Law no (4) of 2000 concerning the emirates securities & commodities authority & market the SCA shall receive complaints relating to the activity of the market brokers & take appropriate resolutions.

  • Service Audience Investors who have complaints regarding transactions executed in the financial markets in the UAE
  • Service Fees 500 AED
  • Service Duration Average of 2 - 12 weeks

Service steps & procedures

  •  The complainant should be contacted within five working days of receiving the complaint, and should be provided with the name and telephone number of the legal specialist who is in charge of the file.
  •  Related documents should be requested from the brokerage firm or the market or any other entity as needed.
  •  Related parties should be notified to be present for official interviews.
  •  Interviews should be documented & signed by all parties.
  •  After completing all administrative procedures, the SCA shall notify all parties with the decision that was taken regarding the complaint.
Notice: Phase changing of the complaint should be documented in the electronic system and could be viewed by the complainant.
Appeals
The same procedures mentioned above should be applied for appeals

Requirements & Documents

  •  A copy of the complainant identification card.
  •  A copy of the legal power of attorney (in case of legal representation).
  •  A copy of the complaint.
  •  Any other related documents.
