SCA Organizes Training Program for Financial Sector Professionals in Collaboration with UASA

The Professional Training and Examinations Centre (PTEC) of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) organized, in collaboration with the Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA), a training program to prepare financial sector professionals to sit for the securities exam administered by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). Taking this exam is a key requirement of SCA’s Qualification-Led Licensing Regime.

The three-day program aims to meet the needs of financial sector professionals and to improve their performance by introducing them to the fundamentals of trading, clearing, and settlement, in line with the best, internationally-recognized practices.

During the program, participants were introduced to the various asset types traded in international markets, such as stocks, bonds, and sukuk. The program dealt with the unique characteristics of primary and secondary markets and the nature of transactions executed there. It shed light on the most important global exchanges and the systems they use.

It is worth mentioning that the certificates offered by the PTEC are widely recognized and accepted among the business community and financial institutions.
