Dr. Maryam Al Suwaidi receives BSEC chairman

H.E. Dr. Maryam Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), received H.E. Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC); H.E. Salman Fazlur Rahman MP, Private Industry and Investment Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh; and their accompanying delegation at the SCA’s Abu Dhabi headquarters. Also present were H.E. Mohammed Khalifa Al Hadari, Deputy CEO for Supporting Services, and a number of SCA’s department managers.

The meeting opened with a discussion of bilateral issues and how to build strong partnerships and relations to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote investment opportunities available in the capital markets of both countries. The two sides put forward suggestions and exchanged views and expertise with respect to digital transformation, financial technology, and virtual assets, in addition to fostering sustainability, developing the legislative environment, stimulating bond markets, enhancing financial literacy, and building capacity.

The meeting closed with an exchange of souvenir shields as the two sides stressed the importance of having similar future meetings to explore further avenues for cooperation and foster bilateral relations.
