SCA Holds Forum Titled “Al Sharqiya Youth and Investment in Securities" at Sharjah University-Kalba Campus in Collaboration with Financial Markets

The event was attended by an elite group of officials from the University of Sharjah as well as officials from government departments and educational institutions in the eastern region, most notably Dr. Ali Obaid Al Zaabi, Vice Assistant Chancellor of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the University of Sharjah.

The forum was held at the University of Sharjah-Kalba Campus in response to directives from the SCA board, chaired by H.E. Al Mansoori, to enhance investor awareness among various segments of the public, especially the youth; to urge them to invest in securities; and to introduce them to the job opportunities available in this field. The forum was held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), as well as with representatives from brokerage companies and financial services companies, being central to the investments undertaken in UAE-based financial markets. Also taking part in the forum was the Youth Council for Future Economy, which receives strong support from the SCA chairman.

SCA's initiative to hold such forum—which addressed the role and functions of various financial market institutions and introduced capital market operations—came to familiarize the public, especially university and school students, with trading stages and stock market investments.

The forum was presented by Jamal Al Khadar, Executive Vice-President and Head of HR and Strategic Planning Division at DFM; Abdullah Salem Al Noaimi, Head of Market Operations and Surveillance at ADX; Ammar Al Noaimi, Head of Regulatory Policies and Future Foresight Section at SCA; and Tariq Qaqish, Managing Director for Asset Management at Menacorp.
