Dr. Mariam Al Suwaidi: Homeland will never forget its citizens who sacrificed their souls and blood in the fields of truth and duty and the squares of pride for keeping the country’s flag flying high.
The Securities & Commodities Authority participated in the celebration events of Commemoration Day, as the flag was downed in the morning in front of the SCA's building in Dubai, and all the employees stood up for a minute of silence to pray for the homeland's martyrs for mercy and forgiveness, recalling their sacrifice and heroics for the homeland to uphold the truth and make the homeland’s flag flying high.
Then, the flag was raised while the national anthem was played. H.E. Dr. Mariam Al Suwaidi delivered a speech on this occasion as she said: "Today, we stand up to express tribute and respect to our righteous martyrs, remembering men who raised the flag of defending truth and justice by their heroic unwavering determination. They made the finest sacrifices and the highest senses of courage and glory. We conjure up in our minds the history of courageous heroes whose sacrifices increased unity among the homeland's citizens and embodied the most wonderful solidarity manifestations between the leadership and the people as it also enhanced the values of loyalty to the homeland and the wise leadership".
"The homeland - its leadership and people - will never forget its citizens who sacrificed their souls and blood in the fields of truth and duty and the squares of pride for defending the United Arab Emirates, safeguarding its sovereignty and protecting its achievements so that our flag shall be always flying high" she added.
She continued by stating: "The homeland's martyrs will be always a source of pride for the current and future generations. Their sacrifices will remain as an anthem of patriotism, a glory and pride chant, and an inspiration energy for all of us to work and dedicate in order to achieve stability of the homeland, to drive development and to steadily proceed with progress to reach the highest levels and achieve the goals of our wise leadership on being among the best countries all over the world". At the end of her speech, she prayed for mercy to the homeland's righteous martyrs and prayed to Allah to have mercy upon them and entering them into his paradise.
