Today, we celebrate a special occasion to the heart of every citizen and resident of the United Arab Emirates, which is the foundation of the United Arab Emirates. At the outset of this precious occasion, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to my beloved country, the leadership, government, and people, on the occasion of the 51st National Day.
We seize this precious opportunity to extend our highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” in addition to their brothers, Their Highnesses, members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, Their Crown Princes, and all citizens and residents of this good land on the occasion of the 51st National Day of the UAE.
Together, on this glorious day, we remember the white hands of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the State of the Union and the builder of its renaissance, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and the founding fathers – may all rest in peace – who gave a rare example of the path of sincerity and dedication with their contributions and achievements in order to establish the Union and reunite the UAE in one country.
UAE has risen thanks to the insight and visionary of the late Sheikh Zayed, may God forgive him, and his sons, who kept their words and followed the same approach. So, the exceptional achievements of the United Arab Emirates rolled in since the moment of announcing its foundation at various levels, until it became a modern and influential country at all levels and renowned in its pioneering experience and unprecedented achievements of the Union, occupying a unique position at the forefront of Nations.
The vision of wise leadership and the long-standing legacy of the UAE marked the country's leading development strategy. It formed the solid basis for foreseeing a bright future in which we move forward at a steady pace, upholding our firm values.
Everyone can see the tremendous development witnessed by the UAE during the past period of the life of the Union, and the remarkable achievements that the country has achieved in all international forums, competitiveness reports and global indicators.
Today, the UAE has become a leading model in providing decent living and well-being for all its citizens and residents, and an ideal environment for coexistence, human tolerance, and openness to the world. About 200 nationalities live on its land, possessing the strongest passport in the world, with pioneering experience in gender balance, inspiring young people all over the world.
This dear homeland would not have risen but for the sacrifices and efforts of the founding fathers, who gave the utmost endeavors for the foundation of the Union and its advancement, as they sowed its seed, so a tree emerged with ripe fruits, after they watered it with efforts and hard work, and the flag was carried thereafter by distinguished leaders, who worked night and day for its advancement and prosperity; they are the best successor to the best predecessor. It is the duty of all of us in the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) to preserve this country so that it continue its bright path and to renew our pledge to be its best soldiers through the keenness of each of us to arm ourselves with science and knowledge, develop minds and skills to continue the SCA’s development of the country’s securities markets, improve their performance and bring it to the ranks of global markets to serve the national economy.
